A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has exceeded one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses news eu on helping young people make informed decisions, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Full details about the campaign can be found here: Italy’s Drug Prevention Campaign Surpasses One Million Booklets Distributed in One Month.
